Beaune - 8 Septembre 2011

Explored Beaune for the day. We visited the Hotel Dieu and explored the cute little streets

Wine tasting at Patriarche Pere et Fils. Burgundy's largest and more impressive wine cellar, where they house over 3 million bottles of wine, followed an extensive "self guided" tasting. This would never happen in the US.

The caves were very dark and spooky so Monique was afraid!

The self guided tasting was very fun!

Musigny was in our price range but we just weren't quite sure ;-)

We left the tasting tipsy and decided to head to the fromagerie for some local cheese and black currant Dijon mustard! So delicious! At the hotel we had a picnic and skyped our loved ones back home!

We were sent away the night before since we didn't have a reservation at the local hot spot Caveau Des Arches, but we finally were able to get in! Above is the famous bœuf bourguignon which was quite delicious!

A demain!
